Jameson Valerius also clearly felt Aurora Sterling's presence was inappropriate. In his eyes, Aurora Sterling was Damien Valerius's woman, whereas Joanna Jacobs was his assistant. An assistant could stay by Damien's side and help him. But a woman at his side would only become a decorative hindrance.
So when Nancy Nash arrived with Julia Keane, it was exactly what Jameson Valerius wanted.
Aurora Sterling watched the two women approach. Nancy Nash wore a magnanimous smile, and her tone was friendly when she spoke to Aurora. She clearly didn't want anyone to know they were at each other's throats, hoping to project the image of a kind mother-in-law.
Julia Keane's performance, however, was far worse. She wouldn't even look at Aurora, and her face was devoid of a smile. She looked utterly indifferent.
