The group ate and chatted. Laura Lowell ate a ton of food, and now her stomach was starting to feel a little stuffed.
Hannah Hale, however, hadn't eaten much. Instead, she'd been drinking, and now she was wasted.
"Can you look after Hannah Hale for a bit? I'm going to go pay the check."
Laura Lowell stood up from the sofa, grabbed her nearby bag, and walked to the door. Her hand had just settled on the doorknob when, before she could even turn it, the door was pushed open from the outside.
"You... How did you know I was here?"
Laura Lowell looked at Aiden Shaw with a guilty conscience, her feathery eyelashes fluttering slightly.
