Nancy's voice was already hoarse. She had flown into a panic when her phone died, crying and shouting nonstop as she ran back recklessly.
Following the sound, Laura and Peach made their way over. By the dim light, they saw that Nancy had fallen into a rather deep pit.
"Laura, hurry and get me out of here! I'm so scared."
At that moment, Nancy was crying like a child, sobbing and trembling uncontrollably.
Laura knelt on the ground and extended a hand. "Grab my hand. I'll pull you up."
Nancy stood up and strained for a long time, but she couldn't even touch Laura's fingertips. "I can't reach... I'm scared..."
"Don't be scared. I'll call Aiden right now."
As she spoke, Laura dialed his number. Aiden Shaw answered almost instantly. "Laura, what's wrong?"
"I've found Nancy, but she's fallen into a deep pit and I can't reach her."
"Send me your location right now. I'll be right there. Stay where you are and don't move."
"Okay, I will."
