After getting the call, Peach rushed to bring the gown to Laura Lowell. She left in such a hurry, she even forgot to grab an umbrella.
Laura Lowell took the bag from Peach, grabbed a towel from the restroom, and handed it to her. "Hurry and dry yourself off."
"LoriaLaura, how did your gown get torn like this?"
Peach asked as she dried her rain-soaked hair with the towel.
"Phoebe Sterling stepped on the hem, and this is what happened."
Laura Lowell raised a hand, sweeping her long hair to one side. The silky locks cascaded over her shoulder, revealing the delicate skin of her back.
"Can you get the zipper for me? I can't reach it."
"Okay."
Peach put down the towel, walked over, and unzipped the beige evening gown Laura Lowell was wearing.
Aiden Shaw froze as he pushed the door open, his hand on the doorknob tightening unconsciously.
He had been on his way up just now but got held up by a few people who came over to say hello.
"Dr. Shaw, you're here."
