"Let's start over."
"Are you insane?"
Before Laura Lowell could shake off Austin Thorne's hand, the hospital room door was pushed open from the outside.
Aiden Shaw's gaze fell upon Austin Thorne's hand gripping hers. In an instant, his deep, dark eyes turned as frigid as a bleak autumn.
"Let go."
The man's cold voice was laced with anger, and an instant later, his fist flew viciously toward Austin Thorne.
Caught completely off guard, Austin Thorne staggered back a few steps as a trickle of thick blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.
"So, Dr. Shaw prefers to let his fists do the talking."
Austin Thorne wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, still maintaining his gentle, good-natured demeanor.
"Stay away from my woman. Otherwise, next time it won't just be a fist."
Austin Thorne shrugged, his tone breezy and unconcerned. "Alright. I'll remember Dr. Shaw's words."
