Zoe Yates grew unnerved by his stare, terrified that Zachary Redgrave would see through her disguise as a man.
"Um… Redgrave, if you don't need anything, I'll go help in the kitchen."
"Go on, go on. And remember to change into some black socks later."
"Sure, I'll definitely change them when I get back."
'That was close.' Zoe Yates secretly let out a long sigh of relief, patting her chest as if she'd just survived a disaster before heading toward the kitchen.
"LoriaLaura, what do you want to learn first?"
Zoe Yates rolled up her sleeves and asked with a smile.
Laura Lowell put the vegetables and meat in the refrigerator, then grabbed an apron and tied it on. "How about you teach me to make cookies?"
"Sure, LoriaLaura. Are you making these for Dr. Shaw?"
"Mhm. I just really want him to eat something I've made with my own hands."
Laura Lowell lifted a hand to tuck a few stray strands of hair behind her ear, a sweet smile gracing her features.
