Laura Lowell suddenly grew tense. Like she was drunk, her cheeks began to flush and burn.
"Um... I still want to watch some TV."
"What are you so nervous about?"
Aiden Shaw wrapped his arms around Laura Lowell's slender waist and looked down, his eyes seeming to hold a universe of stars.
"I'm not nervous. I just can't sleep right now."
"Darling, I have no intention of letting you sleep just yet."
Aiden Shaw's fingertips pinched the girl's chin, tilting it up slightly. The smile on his lips was gentle and affectionate.
Laura Lowell, of course, understood what he meant, but her heart was still pounding furiously with nerves. Her pulse and heartbeat were racing out of her control.
Before she could even think, the man's kiss descended like a tempest, overwhelming all her senses.
