Hannah Hale looked at Nathan Redgrave, stunned for a few seconds before forcing a calm nod. "Okay, I'll speak with her current attending physician shortly. If there's nothing else, Mr. Redgrave, I need to get back to work."
"In that case, please go to her room, Dr. Hale. Fiona said she has a bit of a headache."
"Alright, Mr. Redgrave. You can go on ahead. I'll be there in a moment."
Nathan Redgrave rose from the sofa and adjusted a cufflink on his shirt with one hand. "You'd better be quick, Dr. Hale. I don't want Fiona to be in pain for too long."
"Understood."
Once the office door closed, Hannah slumped weakly onto her desk. She clutched at her heart, her thoughts a daze.
She remained that way for a while before finally heading to Fiona Keating's room.
When she pushed the door open and walked in, she was met with the sight of Nathan Redgrave feeding Fiona Keating. They were sitting very close, and his movements were gentle. He looked just like a devoted boyfriend.
