With that, Zachary Redgrave scurried into the elevator. He always felt that if he didn't say a few words to rile up his uncle before leaving, he'd feel completely out of sorts.

It was already past eight in the evening when Hannah Hale finished her surgery. She returned to her office to change her clothes and saw the scarf lying on her desk. Taking her phone out of her overcoat pocket, she dialed Morgan Joyce's number. The phone on the other end rang for quite a while before it was answered.
"Are you home? I wanted to bring that scarf over."
"Yeah, I'm home. But don't go out of your way to make a trip this late. I'll just come by the hospital and get it tomorrow."
Morgan Joyce was lying on his side in bed, completely drained of strength. His voice sounded weak as well.
"What's wrong with you? Are you sick?"
Morgan covered his mouth and coughed a few times before replying, "It's just a slight fever. I'm fine."
