Hannah Hale pushed open the office door to see Nathan Redgrave standing tall and elegant by the window, a nearly extinguished cigarette butt between his fingers.
Hearing the footsteps, Nathan Redgrave turned around. He stubbed the cigarette out in a disposable paper cup filled with water. "You're back."
"You were looking for me because... Fiona Keating has another headache?"
Hannah Hale walked over calmly and opened the window. Who knew how many cigarettes he had smoked in the room? The smell was practically suffocating.
The lingering white smoke seemed to cloud Nathan Redgrave's slightly displeased eyes. He watched Hannah Hale with one hand in his pocket, remaining silent for a few seconds before speaking. "No. It's the weekend. I'm reminding you not to forget to come to the family estate for dinner tonight."
"I probably can't make it today. I have a surgery later, and it might go on for a long time."
