Aiden Shaw opened his overcoat and pulled her into an embrace. "If your parents are watching from heaven, they wouldn't want to see you so heartbroken. Besides, the baby and I are always by your side."
"I'm so glad I have you."
Aiden Shaw placed a light kiss on Laura Lowell's forehead. "Come on, it's cold out here. Let's go inside."
Laura Lowell nodded and went into the villa with Aiden Shaw.
In the living room, Maeve Miller saw the two of them return and waved them over with a smile. "Laura, honey, come quick and look! Your mother-in-law and I went to the mall today and bought these baby clothes. They're so soft and pink, just adorable."
Laura Lowell took off her overcoat and managed a faint smile. "Mom, I'm a little tired. I'd like to go to my room and rest. I'll look at them tomorrow."
Maeve Miller looked at Laura Lowell with concern. "What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?"
"No, I'm just a bit tired and want to sleep."
"Alright then, go get some rest."
