"It's alright, Laura. Don't blame yourself. Maybe this child and I just weren't meant to be."
Her senior's face was deathly pale as she looked at Laura Lowell, showing no intention of blaming her. Besides, no one wanted something like this to happen.
"I'm so, so sorry."
Laura Lowell bit her lip, tears welling in her eyes. As an expecting mother herself, she could empathize with the pain of losing a child.
'This wasn't something a simple "I'm sorry" could make up for.'
"I already said I'm fine. No crying, okay? Besides, even if I lost the baby, I can always get pregnant again."
