Nathan Redgrave raised a hand and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm sorry. I wasn't considerate enough, and I didn't protect you properly. But that's still no reason for you to lay a hand on my wife."
Hannah Hale froze. 'Is he actually siding with me?'
Fiona Keating was so furious she felt she might spontaneously combust, but she knew that if she kept arguing now, it would only make Nathan Redgrave tired of her.
"My head hurts so much... Nathan, can you ask Dr. Hale to check on me first? My whole body aches."
Fiona Keating supported herself against the wall, stumbling over to the hospital bed before sitting down.
Nathan Redgrave glanced at the red marks still visible on Hannah Hale's neck. "My wife is injured too. I'll get another doctor for you."
Meeting Nathan Redgrave's gaze, Hannah felt a dazed sense of unreality.
"Let's go to your office. I'll help you apply some ointment."
