"You mean this?"
Nathan Redgrave slightly raised the hand he was holding Hannah's with, a faint smile touching his deep-set eyes.
Hannah Hale nodded, waiting for his answer. She was so nervous her heart was in her throat.
"I don't want a divorce anymore. Let's give us a try."
"Do you know what... you're saying?"
Hannah almost thought she was hearing things. 'How could those words possibly come from Nathan Redgrave's mouth?'
'He'd always been so cold and unapproachable, completely impersonal.'
'This change was just so abrupt.'
Nathan Redgrave walked toward her, step by step. Hannah retreated nervously until her back hit the door, with nowhere left to go.
"You haven't fallen for someone else, have you? Did your feelings for me fade that easily?"
"No... I haven't."
Hannah denied it without a second thought. 'She still cared about him so, so much. How could she possibly fall for someone else?'
