With a grim expression, Keith Chambers unceremoniously shoved the housekeeper aside, letting Aiden Shaw and Laura Lowell go in first.
"What do you think you're doing? This is breaking and entering! It's against the law! You..."
Before the housekeeper could finish, a single glance from Keith Chambers frightened her into silence.
Hearing the commotion from her room, Yvonne Sloan came out. But as soon as she reached the top of the stairs and saw Laura Lowell and Aiden Shaw, her expression instantly turned ugly.
"What are you two doing here?"
'At a time like this, shouldn't Laura be in the hospital?'
'Why is she standing here, perfectly fine?'
Laura Lowell stared sharply at Yvonne Sloan, despising her more in that moment than she had ever despised anyone before. "You find it strange, don't you? That I didn't have a miscarriage?"
