Caught off guard by the shove, Yvonne Sloan stumbled back several steps. If she hadn't steadied herself against the wall, she would have surely fallen.
"Shaw, why do you always take Laura's side? What evidence could she possibly have to prove I was trying to harm her?"
Yvonne Sloan's face was streaked with tears, her delicate voice catching on constant sobs. She truly was a pitiful sight.
"I don't need any evidence. As long as my wife says it, I'll believe her unconditionally. Besides, you've been following Laura for days. Don't think I don't know."
Aiden Shaw's sharp, blade-like gaze fell upon Yvonne Sloan, making her heart palpitate with an inexplicable fear.
"I didn't! I didn't... You're wrongly accusing me. If you have no evidence, please leave this place at once."
Yvonne Sloan didn't want to get tangled up with them any longer. If Dylan Zane found out, she could be in a lot of trouble.
