"I don't know who it was, either. They just asked if you were with me and sounded really frantic. When I asked who was calling, they wouldn't say."
"My phone was stolen. Do you think it could be one of my coworkers from the hospital?"
Morgan Joyce put down his phone and affectionately rustled her hair. "I doubt it. If a coworker were looking for you, it would be about something at the hospital, but they didn't mention work."
"Okay, let's eat. I'll help you get a new SIM card tomorrow."
Hannah Hale nodded. She picked up the wine glass from the table and took a small sip of red wine. "Want some?"
"I have to drive later, so I can't drink."
"It's really good, and I can't finish it all by myself. It'd be such a waste. We can just call a designated driver."
Morgan Joyce gazed at her lips, now stained red from the wine. He gently lifted her chin with his thumb. "Actually... there is one way."
