'She wasn't an idiot. Of course she wasn't going to say whether she remembered or not at a time like this.'
'Honestly, Young Master Nathan, could you please give me a little hint next time before you kiss me? I really can't handle these sudden kisses!'
Because Vera Xavier had exams to study for, Nathaniel Nathan drove her back to the compound right after dinner. As usual, he dropped her off outside the gates, and she walked the rest of the way in.
Just as she got out of the car, he called out to her, "Vera Xavier!"
Vera Xavier turned to look at him. He pulled a large bag of lollipops from the car and handed it to her. "Here."
When Vera Xavier saw the bag of lollipops, her eyes went wide. 'Holy crap, when did he buy these? How did I not notice?'
