Aaron Cheney's companions didn't hear his conversation with the deputy chief. Thinking the police were acting on his orders, they all looked at him with admiration. "Aaron, you're the man!"
Aaron Cheney coughed lightly. "The man, my ass. This was all Young Master Nathan's arrangement!"
After speaking, he pressed his palms together in front of his chest. "Thank God I didn't get impulsive and run in there to beat the crap out of Wesley Kane tonight. Otherwise, I would've ruined Young Master Nathan's plans, and he would have skinned me alive!"
