"You!" Elise Langdon pointed a finger at Vera Xavier, fuming. "How dare you insult me!"
"You're the one who made it personal," Vera Xavier said. 'I was just trying to give Master Nathan a gift and thought it'd be better to keep a low profile. Who knew this Elise Langdon would be so relentless! I can't let this go.'
Elise Langdon was about to say something more, but she instantly clamped her mouth shut when Master Nathan shot her a look. He took the box from Vera Xavier's hands and said, "Vera, even if you just picked a random rock off the street and gave it to me, I'd still be overjoyed..."
