Vera Xavier answered honestly, "I asked Mr. Sterling to carve it."
"Mr. Sterling?" Master Nathan asked. "Which Mr. Sterling?"
"Mr. Quentin Sterling," Vera answered.
Cheney, the man who had previously offered to buy the seal, slapped his thigh. "No wonder! So it's the work of the younger Sterling. Judging by the style, he must have consulted the elder Sterling. This seal clearly shows the elder Sterling's influence."
After he spoke, the way he looked at Vera Xavier was clearly different. "Young lady, the next time you go stone-shopping, let me know. How about buying a piece for me, too?"
