Sheldon Caldwell raised an eyebrow. "Besides, what's wrong with being from the countryside? Who's to say a girl from a rural area can't be more outstanding than someone from the city?"
Rowena Kirby was left speechless by his retort, and her own words were indeed flawed to begin with.
Rowena Kirby was fuming inside, but she still forced a smile at Sheldon Caldwell. "Yes, yes, you're right. I misspoke. Please, Deputy General Manager Caldwell, don't tell him. I was just a little curious, that's all."
Then she added, "I heard that you tore Deputy General Manager Nathan's clothes today, and that he has scratch marks on his back. Is that true?"
"News sure travels fast!" Sheldon Caldwell sighed. "It's true. He has scratch marks on his back. I guess I fell right into his trap today."
