"Mmm, yummy."
The two children ate happily, nodding vigorously. "Miss, would you like to have some too?"
They rarely got to eat something so delicious, so it tasted especially good.
"Thank you, you sweet little things. I won't have any, you go ahead and eat." The staff member crouched in front of them, watching them eat.
After a moment, she asked again, "Do you know who sent these for you?"
The children answered honestly, "Annabelle and Grant."
The staff member smiled and nodded, asking kindly, "And what should you do when someone gives you something to eat?"
A child replied, "Say thank you."
The staff member looked at them approvingly and gave each of the two children a delicate piece of candy. It was beautifully wrapped, and you could tell at a glance that it was very expensive.
Seeing the candy, the children's faces lit up with joy. They said politely, "Thank you, Miss."
"You're very welcome."
