Annabelle Linton was so stunned she was speechless.
'Poisoning aside, sometimes the things this man said were so ridiculous they left me speechless.'
'He didn't act like a CEO at all—more like a petulant child.'
Annabelle Linton pushed his hand away and pulled the blanket over her head.
Leona Grant gave her no time to retreat or hide. He yanked the blanket off and tossed it onto the floor, then hauled her up by brute force. His large hand seized her face, forcing her to look him in the eye.
"Annabelle Linton, look me in the eyes and answer me. Are you really going to leave me? I can feel it. You have feelings for me. I refuse to believe you can be this heartless. You must be hiding something from me, right?"
Annabelle Linton looked into his eyes.
They were deep and burning, fixed on her without a single blink, a hopeful light shimmering in their depths.
