Winston Lowell was quick on the uptake. He immediately understood Adrian Hawthorne's plan and nodded repeatedly. "I'll have my sister make a new dress tonight. We just got a new sewing machine, so she can finish it in one night. My sister's a great seamstress—she can copy a design just by looking at it. Tomorrow's a day off, so I'll have her wear the new dress and go for a walk around town with my future brother-in-law."
Adrian Hawthorne couldn't help but smile. He liked smart people—they understood things without needing a long explanation.
"Boss, I have a sister too," another short, chubby boy said, itching to get in on the action. He wanted his sister to wear a floral dress, too.
Winston Lowell shot him a disdainful look. "Forget about your sister. She's as fat as you are. Don't go tarnishing the boss's reputation."
The chubby boy wasn't happy about that. He grumbled, "My sister's just a little chubby, but she's just as pretty as yours."
