"Don't ruin these clothes. Remember to bring them back after your sister is done with them," Adrian Hawthorne instructed.
"I'll bring them back tomorrow. My sister just needs them tonight to trace the pattern, then she won't need them anymore," Winston Lowell replied with a nod.
The three of them happily went home with the fabric. Winston Lowell and the chubby boy were walking with their arms around each other's shoulders, good buddies once again. After they left, Goldie Thorne asked, "Where are we going to sell this?"
He, too, was eager to show what he could do.
"We'll sell at the market. Tomorrow, we'll take half the fabric back," Adrian Hawthorne said, having already planned it all out.
Jim Thorne grew anxious and blurted out, "What about me? Where do I get to sell?"
"Aren't you supposed to be in school?" Goldie Thorne swatted at him.
Jim Thorne pointed at Adrian Hawthorne and said resentfully, "He's not in school either."
