"Taking a walk is good. It'll let you stretch your bones a bit," Gabe Chaucer advised the two of them. "Eat less ice cream, or you might get an upset stomach." He quickly let them go, feeling a bit gratified. 'They're good students, and so self-disciplined. They really save me a lot of trouble.'
...
The next day during morning self-study, Gabe Chaucer returned with the phones, a dark look on his face. "Some of your phones had alarms set for one or two in the morning. I had to turn off five or six of them in the middle of the night."
"What are you waking up that late for? To go steal a cow?"
"Take them back and turn off the alarms! If you give me a heart attack, you'll all be held responsible."
The whole class burst into laughter.
The opening ceremony was held in the afternoon.
The new first-year students all had their eyes on the third-year host of the opening ceremony—Scholar Quincy.
