"Sold them? Hah!" Yuri Sinclair scoffed, leaning down close to Ashley Bowen's face.
His gloomy eyes stared daggers at her, his anger barely contained. "Say that again."
"I... I sold them..." Ashley felt like her tongue was tied in knots as she stammered her reply. She quickly added, "I only sold the useless stuff. I gave the useful things to my mom, and I kept some for myself too."
As she spoke, Ashley pointed beside Yuri. "Look, the bedside table behind you, the revolving lantern on it, the bicycle in the courtyard, and—and the cosmetics and the full manicure set on the vanity, they're all still here."
"Buy every single one of them back. You are not allowed to sell them. If I ever find out about something like this again, just you try me!" Yuri watched as her lips moved quickly to explain herself, terrified he'd get angry. He found the sight surprisingly cute.
