Daley, however, played coy before finally revealing the hand she had hidden behind her back. Ashley Bowen glanced over and saw a cut on her finger, blood trickling from the wound.
"It was my fault for being clumsy. I'll go take care of it now. The servants can clean this up." Daley looked completely aggrieved, yet she put on a considerate act, as if she didn't want Yuri Sinclair to worry.
Ashley knew she couldn't pull off such a display of fragility, nor could she even pretend to.
Sure enough, Yuri still had a soft spot for a damsel in distress. Seeing Daley try to leave in such a pitiful state, he grabbed her and pressed her into the seat he had just vacated.
"That cut will get infected if you don't treat it soon. Stay put, I'll take care of it for you." He held her in place, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Daley had no intention of leaving at all. Thrilled to be receiving Yuri's personal attention, she nodded happily.
