The family gathered around the dining table for a meal, truly like a family.

This had been her favorite soup back in college. Strangely enough, it was as if Miles Xavier could read her mind, somehow guessing exactly what she was thinking.
Ever since she started working, she had never gone back to that restaurant near campus, and so she had never tasted this familiar flavor again.
The moment she took her first sip, she felt that this soup must have been made by the chef from that very same restaurant.
"Miles, don't tell me you're the chef from that restaurant? How is the taste exactly the same?" Joan Shaw cradled her bowl and used her spoon to scoop up the sea cucumber. She didn't like the hard texture of frozen sea cucumber, preferring the soft feel of fresh ones, and this one was just to her liking.
