After returning home, Nate Jennings prepared to continue her job search.
She sent her resume to several film companies and waited for interview notifications.
Luckily, the very next day, she received calls from the HR departments of various companies, inviting her for interviews.
"YES! Nate Jennings, you're going to ace this interview!" Her first interview was at Xavier Pictures. She had looked them up online; the company was backed by the Xavier family and had deep pockets. Its future prospects were limitless.
In the restroom, she touched up her makeup, raised a fist, and gave herself a pep talk.
"Nate Jennings, you're next."
After waiting in the lounge for a few minutes, the secretary from inside called for her.
"Coming." She straightened her clothes, squared her shoulders, picked up her resume, and pushed the door open to enter.
To her surprise, there was only one person inside to interview her, and she was heavily pregnant.
