Su Tang's face flushed slightly at Lu Xiao's confession.
'Doesn't that basically mean he'd give his life for me?'
Lu Xiao had just phrased it differently, making it sound incredibly romantic.

A smile spread across Lu Xiao's face when he heard Su Tang's words.
Lu Xiao tightened his arms, holding Su Tang closer as if trying to merge her into his very being.
Moonlight spilled through the window, casting dappled shadows on the floor. The room was so quiet they could hear each other's heartbeats.

Su Tang shifted in his embrace and looked up at him, her curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
