Julie's Point of View
I let go of Olivia's hand the moment Robert stepped out, taking a step back as I tried to gather my scattered breath. She looked at me with bewilderment. "What was that?"
"I need you," I said with mock distress, searching for a lie to save me from her scrutinizing gaze.
"For what?" she asked coldly.
"I need sanitary pads," I stammered, the panic coating my voice. It was the only lie that jumped into my head, despite there being ten boxes in my closet! She raised an eyebrow. "Did you finish them all?"
I nodded quickly. "Yes."
"Fine," she muttered in annoyance.
As she left my room, I collapsed onto my bed, the heat of his memory still searing my skin. I remembered how Robert approached me, how my heart hammered violently, and how I truly truly wanted him to kiss me! But no... no... that's not normal. I'm just imagining things.
