Riven was frozen in fear as the teacher introduced him to the whole class. The teacher asked him if there's anything he would like to say about himself. He squalled towards the girl in a weird way.
"Hey, I thought you said, I'm going to my school?"
He whispered.
"I said get ready for school, not your own school."
The girl corrected in a sassy tone.
The teacher approached Riven and tapped him.
"And you must have met her since she came with you?"
The teacher asked.
"Ye...."
Before Riven could finish his answer, he was cut off by the girl, as she said simply and calmly,
"No"
"What?!"
Riven reacted.
The girl told the teacher that she met him today, and was instructed to take him to this classroom, she put on an innocent face. Riven was shocked by what he just heard her say.
"Well, since you haven't met her, I think you two should introduce yourselves."
The teacher said nicely.
The two shook each others hands
"Riven Kaelit"
Riven said.
"Kelly Kurogane. Nice to meet you."
She said nicely.
The teacher told Riven that he would start tomorrow, that he should settle in.
"What do you mean settle in?"
Riven asked.
"Since you're new, you need to find your dorm room, schedule and other activities, cause...."
The teacher was cut off from answering when riven asked,
"Wait... I'm in a boarding school?"
The two nodded like two bobbleheads. The teacher told Kelly to take Riven around to get comfortable and settle in.
As the walked together, Riven gave her a stink eye and kept looking at her, Kelly saw what he was doing, but kicked him on his stomach. Riven groaned from the hit she gave him and ran towards her.
"Hey!"
Riven shouted.
"What?"
Kelly asked annoyingly.
Riven asked her where they were going to, she said that they are going to get all of his stuff, and needed requirements for him to settle in. Riven then said that he never paid for anything, but she said someone paid for it all.
The two reached the school clothing shop, as they entered, they met a lady there sewing on a sewing machine.
"Good day Miss. Lee."
Kelly greeted in a friendly manner.
Riven also greeted her nicely. Kelly told the lady that they came to collect his clothes and stuff. Miss. Lee directed them where to collect it and where to change.
Riven grabbed them and went inside to change.
"Ugh, hurry up, we have other places to go."
Kelly complained.
"I'm coming."
Riven yelled.
Kelly heard the curtains open and looked at Riven, she saw his handsomeness shine through the clothe he wore, he looked fresher than the first time, the way he innocently stood, only made him look cuter, Kelly blushed a bit, she was lost in thought. The black and white looked so good on him and the way he slightly nodded his tie and didn't tuck in his shirt.
"So Kelly is this good?"
Riven asked as he looked at himself. Kelly coughed coming back to her senses, she told that he looked okay, and she told him that he could try the rest in his room. They both got his other wears and put it in a bag. They approached the lady and thanked her for her service, but before they could leave, Miss Lee stopped them both by asking them a question.
"Has he done the test Kelly?"
"No, not yet, he just came today?"
Kelly answered.
Miss Lee nodded and waved them good bye, as they left, the lady frowned her faced a bit.
"I sensed a lot of dangerous energy from him, but he's a freshman and hasn't even done the test yet."
Miss. Lee thought seriously, because she felt scared the moment Riven came inside the room and felt a bit safer when they left. She got it out of her mind and continued sowing.
Kelly and Riven then arrived at his dorm room. She told him that this was the Tsukikage Hall, then showed him his dorm room, Riven opened the door and they entered inside. The room was large a bit, and there were two beds on opposite sides, Riven's bed was on the right while the other was on the left. He looked at the bed and jumped on it, and laid down.
"Hey, get up, we still have more places to go to."
Kelly said as she banged Riven on the head.
He stood up rubbing his hands on his head and she showed him his drawer, closet and more. She said the room mate would explain more to him.
They approached the training area, it was a massive room, with white bright lights, weapons vault and so much more. Kelly started showing him around, then listed some devices that he should and should not touch unless instructed to, but when she turned, she saw Riven walking around the place, looking and touching everything in sight, then Riven saw a table full of buttons, as he was about to press one, Kelly stretched her hand and teleported him out of there and back to where she was, Kelly took him out of the room.
"Can you Not touch anything?"
Kelly asked as she grabbed him.
Riven then made a cute face and answered 'No'
As they walked together, Kelly got a phone call, she picked the phone and answered it, Riven looked at her and waited until she finished her call.
"Okay, we are done with the tour, you can go back to your room."
She said speedily as she looked around.
" Hey, where are you going to?"
Riven asked.
"Look I've got to go, it's something important."
She said seriously.
Before Riven could finish and get hold of her she opened a portal, went through it and disappeared. Riven stood there for a minute, thinking were she could have gone and why she was in a hurry to leave.
Riven then went to his room, he looked outside through the window, seeing the view, it was beautiful, from the rustles made from the moving trees to the crystal like lake. The he heard something from behind him, but when he turned, he didn't see anything, then he saw a shadow on a bed as the moon light reflected lightly on it.
" Are you the freshman?"
The shadow asked.
Riven was confused and scared at the same time. He posed like a ninja.
" Um, hey I'm your new room mate, I just moved in."
He said.
The shadow then slowly moved out from the bed and when it came to the floor, legs appeared revealing the person, Riven looked and saw it was a boy, he looked dark his hair was darker, one part of his hair covered his eyes, he was pale and had a threatening but boy like voice. His hair and face made him look mysterious. The two stared at each other for a while until Riven blinked, then the boy spoke, introducing himself.
"Good day, I am Reji Kurozaki."
'Wow! He kinda looks like a vampire 🦇 but without the fangs .'
Riven thought as he stared at him. Reji had a frown on his face which was his normal facial expression.
"So, what happens now?"
Riven asked staring at him like a puppy, Reji walked back to his bed and answered by telling him to walk around and get familiar with the school since he wasn't given a schedule. Riven sat down on his bed looking through the window again. Then he saw Kelly walking outside, Riven smiled a bit as he looked at her.
"I sense she's back."
Reji said as he stood up and joined Riven.
They are both looked at Kelly from above, then Riven ran down stairs looking for her.
'BAM!'
Riven bumped into her, he got up immediately and pulled her up too. Kelly got up in a weak manner.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" I thought you'd be asleep."
Kelly asked.
"I want to continue our little tour, I saw a lot of cool stuff and buttons, so..."
Riven said.
He looked at her face and noticed a bruise on her face, he asked what happened to her and who did it, then Reji told him that she might have fallen and bruised her face a bit.
"I'm fine Riven, thanks for asking, but I just fell. And we are not going to continue the tour, it's too late."
Kelly said in a sassy manner and left the room.
"Sheesh 🙄! Is she always like this?"
Riven asked Reji as he looked at Kelly moving away.
"Not always but she is a different person in some aspects."
Reji answered as he gently put his hand on Riven's shoulders. The two walked back to their rooms and sat on their beds. Then Riven looked at Reji and then asked,
"Hey, how long will I be here? Wii l get to go out soon or will anything else happen."
Reji looked at him closely for a while and answered,
"Look, I know you don't understand anything right now but I'm not so certain of what the future holds for you, there's a reason why you are here ... But not everyone knows yet why. "
Then he told him to sleep and not to disturb him, they both laid down on their beds, then Riven smiled a bit looking outside and slept.
Faint glowing lights appeared, the sound of light bickering filled the area of silence. Riven saw himself running away as he heard cackling and roars.
"RIVEN!!!...."
Was the faint but slowly loud voice he heard.
He screamed as he fell down on the floor, seeing blood all over his body, the blood flowed massively through his body, even as he wept and sobbed, his tears looked like blood as well.
"Nooooooooooooo!!!"
He yelled from a far distance which ended up in pain and more tears.
Then Riven saw himself on the floor in a mysterious room, he looked around but saw no one in sight, then he heard chanting from a far distance, it became louder and scarier until he saw cloaked people walking towards him, Riven screamed shouting No, but they continued chanting, he tried to get out but saw he was chained to the ground,they raised their hands in the air, bringing in a black figure, it moved rapidly as they carried it in the air, Riven saw its mouth with sharp teeth, they were multiple in number.
"No... No please..."
Riven begged loudly.
The chants became louder and as they brought the figure closer to him, he felt it's heaviness. Then they were ready to blast it into Riven's body.
The sound of the faint screams and the loud chants clashed together in Riven's head. Then,
'AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!'
Riven woke up, sitting up immediately with his eyes fully opened in terror. He looked around seeing Reji sleeping, the light cool breeze he felt through the window. Riven felt very spooked out, he rested his body on the wall while he sat up, as Riven felt the cool breeze pass him, he thought of his life back at home, thinking of school, what they will about it, if they will think he's missing or dead. He thought about his two friends, how they would go to school together from his house, then he remembers his mom, how she'd feel when she found out he was gone, how she would act, especially now she'll be leaving alone since he's not there, and he thought how she process it after losing another one.
Riven looked at the moon light whimpering a bit, he remembers why he's here and knows he doesn't want to hurt his mother with things he doesn't know how to use. He smiled at the moon for a while and said in his mind,
"Don't worry mom, I'm not dead or missing, I just don't want to hurt you physically or in anyway, so I'll stay here until it's safe to come back."
He turned back and rested on the wall again, looking up that night.
