The Aftermath: The "Apostle" Misunderstanding
The Academy ballroom was a wreckage of marble and gold. As the dust settled, the Grand Commander and dozens of S-Rank Hunters burst through the doors. They saw the trash can (containing the compressed Universal Threat) and the two girls standing there, still glowing with the remnants of their Void and Light mana.
Grand Commander: (Falling to one knee, looking at Serina and Evelyn) "The signatures... they match the 'Void Guardian' from the school incident. It wasn't the boys... it was you two all along! You are the Apostles sent to protect this world!"
Serina: (Glancing at Alex, who was busy trying to find his missing shoe) "Uh... yeah. Sure. We're the... Apostles. Totally."
Staff Member: "But sir, what about the boys? They were seen entering the portal."
Grand Commander: (Waving a hand dismissively) "Likely just bait or witnesses. Look at them! One is looking for a shoe, and the other is eating a half-melted ice cream bar he found in the debris. They are clearly just civilians under the Apostles' protection."
Alex: (Whispering to Allen) "Hey, 'Civilian.' Did you find my shoe? It's the left one."
Allen: "Forget the shoe, Alex. The Grand Commander is crying while looking at Serina. This is the best day of my life."
The High Council's Move: Isabella's Eyes
Isabella stood in the shadows of the balcony, her eyes glowing a sharp, predatory yellow. She had watched Alex "shatter" the dimension. She didn't believe the "Apostle" story for a second.
She tapped her earpiece. "Elders... the girls are a distraction. The boys are the source. But there's more. I saw the Void... and the Void looked back at me. We aren't dealing with Hunters. We are dealing with the Primordials. Initiate 'Project Eclipse.' We need to wake Him up."
The Reveal: A Glimpse of the Throne
Later that night, back at the house, the "Apostles" were exhausted. Evelyn followed Alex onto the balcony. She was tired of the lies.
Evelyn: "Stop it, Alex. No more 'Swaying Willow' techniques. No more 'Conductivity' excuses. You kicked a hole in a universal dimension. You stand on demons like they're dirt. Who. Are. You?"
Alex stood still, the moonlight catching his messy hair. The lazy, sleepy look in his eyes vanished.
Alex: Like i said we are the Beginning and the End.
Then he didn't say a word. Instead, he simply placed a finger on her forehead.
FLASH.
For one micro-second, Evelyn's vision left Earth. She saw a palace of black crystal floating in a sea of stars. She saw a throne that looked like it was made of frozen time. And sitting on that throne was a figure whose mere presence made galaxies tremble.
Alex's Voice (In her head): "It's a lot of responsibility, Evelyn. That's why I'd rather just be the guy who forgets his homework. Don't tell Serina; she'll make me clean the palace floors next."
Evelyn snapped back to reality, gasping for air. She looked at Alex—the "Lazy Student"—and for the first time, she truly understood. She didn't pull away. Instead, she stepped closer, her heart full of a terrifying, beautiful realization.
The New Spark: Allen and Serina
Inside, Serina was sitting on the couch, rubbing her sore shoulders from the fight. Allen walked over, but he didn't have food in his hands for once. He sat down and placed his hand on her shoulder.
A warm, golden light—the purest Light Mana in existence—flowed into her. Her fatigue vanished instantly.
Serina: (Surprised, looking at him) "Allen? You're actually... helping? Without me asking?"
Allen: (Looking away, his ears turning slightly pink) "You fought well today. It would be a waste of mana if you were too tired to cook breakfast tomorrow. That's the only reason."
Serina: (Smirking, but her heart giving a strange, unfamiliar thump) "Oh? So the 'God of Light' is worried about his pancakes?"
Allen: "Precisely. Now be quiet and let the mana heal you."
Serina watched him. For the first time, she didn't see a "Food-Obsessed Idiot." She saw the man who had stood by her brother for eons—the only one who could truly understand her world. She leaned her head back, a small, genuine smile on her lips.
The Final Cliffhanger: The Voice from the Void
Back in the school's trash can, the compressed marble of the demon suddenly cracked. A thin, red smoke drifted out, forming a mouth in the air.
The Voice: "Aziel and Arsen you think a human life will hide you two forever? The seal on the First Realm is breaking. Your brother is coming for his throne. And he doesn't care about your 'churros' or your 'friends'..."
Alex: (Inside the house, his eyes suddenly flashing a dark, violent purple) "Let him come. I've been looking for a reason to throw away my alarm clock anyway."
Allen: (His mana violently holding back and his eyes shine bright) "Ya let him come. No one messes with our creations not even our notorious third brother Michael.
