Jerold sat calmly among the other alphas with a straight expression.
"Yes," Jerold said evenly. "She is part of my pack."
Corvin leaned back.
"Then perhaps you would like to explain how one of your wolves nearly crippled mine."
Jerold studied him for a moment before speaking.
"I spoke to Rogan this morning."
A few glances shifted toward the man standing behind Jerold.
Rogan Hale stood quietly, arms folded and his expression unreadable.
"From what I understand, the incident was not intentional," Jerold continued.
Corvin let out a short laugh. "My wolf is still in the hospital."
Jerold shrugged lightly as he said, "Then perhaps your pack should focus more on training their wolves."
The room quieted.
Jerold leaned forward slightly, his tone was calm but edged with provocation.
"If a weak, unshifted wolf managed to cause such grave injury to one of your pack members, Alpha Corvin, perhaps the problem isn't the girl."
A few wolves struggled to hide their reactions.
