I steepled my fingers in front of me as I sat at the head of a rectangular table.
To my right were Olivia and Ava with Ava seated closest to me.
To my left were Siti and Diana with Siti seated closest to me.
Both pairs of women had been staring at their counterparts across the table for the past few minutes, neither side saying a word.
I wanted to speak but it felt like the moment I did, the tension would shatter and a fight might break out or something.
I turned to peek at the staff and all of them were huddled together in the corner behind the counter while watching our table like they were preparing for some bomb to go off.
Well… I can understand them since it felt like I was sitting in front of a bomb waiting to go off as well.
I decided that just sitting here wasn't making things any better so I slowly got out of my chair to stand up.
