When I returned to the table, the girls seemed to have stopped trying to look like they were trying to kill each other and finally started eating.
They even started talking to each other too, though they obviously refrained from talking about me and went for 'safe' topics like the weather, fashion, the local cuisine and… How they kill and crush Anomalies.
Yeah… They were even going into the visceral details like it was no big deal as well… Talking about how the Anomalies' bodies would explode when crushed and how they would slice and dice them when they first fought them.
And yes, they were discussing this while eating the food happily like it was no big deal.
I was somewhat saved by the fact that the other Guardians started to appear in waves as they arrived for dinner, filling up the rest of the space as the staff members worked hard to serve them.
