All of them looked at the dead Anomaly at my feet, then at me.
None of them said a word.
Although… I noticed that the guy with the gun was still glaring at me like he was blaming me for his friend transforming into that.
Honestly, you only have yourselves to blame for this, you know? I've already warned you guys multiple times at this point and you guys never listened.
So as much as I can pity you for losing your friend like this… I'm not to blame for it.
Also… I'm just going to say here… I will do my best to help as many people as I can to the best of my ability… But I will not beat myself up over failing to save people who are unwilling to be saved.
You could say that I'm somewhat of an idealist with some understanding of a realist. I am aware of how shitty the world can be, after all.
