We stepped outside once again, appearing in the field of tall grass.
"Is that really alright?" Maylene asked, looking up at me.
I turned to her, "What do you mean?"
"I mean… We're just leaving just like that? Should we at least try to… Convince them or something? I thought our plan was to get them to act as our intermediary for other survivor groups we might find?"
I shrugged, "We're not completely cutting them off but I think right now we just need to give them some space for now. They probably need some time to adapt to the fact that whatever they knew about their own world was just turned on its head and they have to deal with that fact."
Olivia nodded, "They are still in the denial stage. Most likely, they still believe their world can be saved and they can drive the Anomalies back to reclaim their world."
I paused after hearing that, especially since I never actually considered the possibility of a world being reclaimed.
