"Officer, why do I feel like the commotion is getting louder?"

"Getting louder?" Crossbones Rumlow also noticed it when he said that, and it seemed to be getting closer to them.

Looking out the window, Crossbones Rumlow saw nothing but a collapsed building.

Why would a perfectly good building suddenly collapse?

"Something's not right. Drive faster to get out of here."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a heat ray quickly streaked past the black Chevrolet, shaving off a corner of its roof.

"What the hell? A laser weapon?"

In the ruins of the collapsed building not far away, Homelander's face was flushed, his eyes continuously firing heat rays capable of cutting a building in half, but it had no effect. His head was held by Abomination and twisted to the side, so the heat rays didn't land on Abomination at all.

"Is that all you've got? And you call yourself the strongest!" Abomination scoffed.

"What do you think you are, a monster!" Homelander was completely enraged.

Abomination was surprised to find that he could no longer hold Homelander's head down.

"You die!"

Homelander roared, forcibly straightened his head, and the heat ray shot directly at Abomination's face.

"Ah!" This time, the heat ray's power was significantly stronger than before. Abomination cried out in pain and released Homelander.

"Die!"

Homelander leaped, gathered momentum, and slammed into Abomination. Abomination, having lost the initiative, was sent flying.

Homelander didn't hesitate, pushing Abomination and crashing into everything in his line of sight, while continuously attacking with heat rays.

"Damn monster! I am Homelander! I am the strongest!"

Looking at the cut-up roof of the car, Crossbones Rumlow felt lingering fear; he had almost died again.

He poked his head out of the severed roof, wanting to ascertain the situation, and then...

A giant, yellowish-brown Hulk was crashing towards them, moving as fast as a missile.

"Motherfucker!"

No sooner had the expletive left his mouth than Crossbones Rumlow, along with the Chevrolet beneath him and all the team members in the car, were crushed into a pulp by Abomination and Homelander.

The World froze once more.

"Hoo, hoo!"

When Crossbones Rumlow came to his senses again, he was back in the black Chevrolet, surrounded by his team members, and still holding the file on Hulk Bruce Banner.

"Died again? That was the monster called Abomination from before. Was Homelander fighting it? It's so terrifying, I died before I could even react."

Crossbones Rumlow once again realized the chasm between superheroes and ordinary people. He no longer wanted to go to Broadway.

But the mission still had to be done.

Crossbones Rumlow glanced at his tactical watch; the time was the same as when he last reloaded.

"Does every death bring me back to this point in time?"

He once again distributed the files in his hand to his team members, giving instructions for the mission with the same words as in the previous loop.

"Homelander has appeared. Given Vought's style, they will definitely livestream it for publicity. As long as we keep watching Vought's livestream, we can avoid the fight between those two monsters."

Crossbones Rumlow thought of a safe way to avoid Homelander and Abomination. He said to his team members:

"Jossen, we're near Fordham University right now, aren't we? We'll reach our destination in about half an hour. When we get near Broadway, don't go straight in. Go around to the south side of Broadway and then enter."

Jossen, who was driving, was very confused: "Officer, why don't we go straight in from the north side? Taking a detour will waste a lot of time."

"This is classified. You just need to drive as I say." Crossbones Rumlow had no intention of explaining, and he was too lazy to find an excuse to fool his team members. He couldn't very well say, "Don't go straight in from the north side; you'll get caught in the crossfire of the fight!"

Crossbones Rumlow then ordered: "Get me Vought's livestream, the one about Homelander. I need to know Homelander's movements."

Although the team member didn't know why Captain Rumlow wanted to know Homelander's movements, as it shouldn't be related to their mission, he quickly opened Vought's livestream channel, found the livestream about Homelander, and handed over the tactical tablet.

Crossbones Rumlow took the tactical tablet and nodded. Homelander was not yet at Broadway but on a street in Hells Kitchen, where a Gang and Police firefight was taking place. Homelander was effortlessly punishing the Gang members, one punch for each.

Ever since Homelander debuted, he had been fighting crime in New York every day, sometimes even going to other states in America to carry out superhero missions. Spider-Man hadn't even achieved this level; he was a model worker among superheroes.

To promote Homelander, Vought had set up a dedicated livestream for him, used to record and broadcast Homelander's superhero activities.

"Truly powerful!"

Crossbones Rumlow exclaimed. In the previous loop, he had seen Homelander's true strength, easily crushing them and their car into pulp.

Because they took a detour, everything went smoothly. They didn't encounter the Military and Abomination fighting as they did in the previous loop, and they successfully arrived near Samuel Sterns's residence.

There were obvious signs of violent destruction here, with fragments of Military armored vehicles everywhere.

"Did that monster come out of here? It destroyed everything along this street all the way to North Street. This destructive power is much stronger than any demolition crew."

Observing the surrounding destruction, Crossbones Rumlow reconstructed what had happened here earlier.

He glanced at the livestream on the tactical tablet. Homelander and Abomination were still fighting fiercely, like two enlarged and enhanced huskies, destroying everything wherever they fought. Give them a little more time, and this entire block could be torn down and rebuilt.

"Still on North Street, so they shouldn't come over for now. Let's quickly go to Samuel Sterns's place and look for Bruce Banner's blood."

"Yes."

Samuel Sterns's residence was easy to find; even if they didn't know the exact location beforehand, they could find it. After all, the other buildings had only their first and second floors damaged, while this residential building had a large hole blown through it from the fifth or sixth floor, and all the signs of destruction started from there.

"This is it. Enter!"

They didn't break down the door, because not only the door, but even the walls of Samuel Sterns's residence were gone.

"Officer, there's only one person inside!"

A team member who had finished searching reported.

"Mm."

Crossbones Rumlow looked at the man lying amidst a pile of chemical test tubes and frowned. A normal human shouldn't look like that.

The man on the ground had an abnormally swollen head, twice the size of a normal person's, and it emitted an eerie green glow.

Is this Samuel Sterns?

He prodded the large head on the ground with his rifle butt. Seeing no reaction from the large head, Crossbones Rumlow directly kicked him between the legs. He didn't have time to gently wake this person; those two monsters could arrive here at any moment.

"Ow!"

The large head immediately woke up in pain, but as soon as he was conscious, a dark gun barrel was pointed at his large head.

"Are you Samuel Sterns? Tell me where Bruce Banner's blood is!"
