Samuel Sterns hadn't fully woken up when a gun was pressed against his head. "Ah?"
Crossbones Rumlow narrowed his eyes, then lifted his foot and stomped directly on Samuel Sterns' calf.
"Ah—!"
"Tell me, where is Bruce Banner's blood?"
Samuel Sterns snapped awake. He felt like he'd had the worst luck for eight lifetimes. Ever since Bruce Banner arrived, what had he gone through? First, the Military barged into his residence, smashed things up, and took Bruce Banner away. He hadn't even had a chance to properly study his findings.
But his bad luck didn't end there. After Bruce Banner was cured and taken away, a soldier, just like the men in front of him, forced him to hand over Bruce Banner's serum, hoping to gain the Hulk's power from it. Samuel Sterns, being threatened, didn't resist.
He also wanted to verify if his research was successful, if he could create another Hulk. The result was that his residence was destroyed by the monster he himself created, and he was knocked unconscious by the monster. He was treated that way while unconscious, and woke up to the black muzzle of a gun pointed at him.
"The serum is all under that floorboard!" Fearing Crossbones Rumlow would beat him again, Samuel Sterns immediately revealed the location of the serum.

Beneath the floorboard was a hidden compartment, filled with bottles of serum.
"Officer, we found the serum!"
"Excellent. Take all the serum." Crossbones Rumlow breathed a sigh of relief. The mission was finally complete. Now he just needed to bring the serum back to headquarters.
Crossbones Rumlow ordered his subordinates, "Tie this guy up, then blow up this lab with him, making it look like a gas explosion!"
Samuel Sterns' eyes widened at the words. "No, I've been so cooperative, and you still want to kill me!"
"Stop! Stop! You can't do this! Fuck you!" Samuel Sterns struggled wildly.
Crossbones Rumlow ignored Samuel Sterns' curses. This was HYDRA's usual style: leave no trace. Of course, Samuel Sterns was a talent, and bringing him into HYDRA would be useful, but that was too much trouble. Those two monsters could attack at any moment, and bringing one more person meant one more danger. He didn't want to die again.
Picking up the box containing Bruce Banner's serum, Crossbones Rumlow led his team members to evacuate, leaving Samuel Sterns cursing behind him.

The World froze once more.
Consciousness awoke from the darkness, and Crossbones Rumlow felt like he was going to explode with rage. "Damn it!"
Looking at the team members around him, Crossbones Rumlow's expression turned very unpleasant. Although he knew his team members were controlled, it really hurt.
"Why are there so many superhumans? Was that guy using hypnosis or mind control? Damn it, the mission was already completed, I just needed to leave that place!"
After calming his turbulent emotions, Crossbones Rumlow still arranged the mission according to the previous loop. He had already cleared it last time, he just needed to be careful of that big head.

The team members beside him winced, not understanding what had provoked their Captain.

Samuel Sterns howled.
Samuel Sterns' eyes widened, wanting to see which bastard was performing gender reassignment surgery on him.
Seeing the big head open its eyes, Crossbones Rumlow grinned ferociously, aimed at that large head, and hit it with a rifle butt.
Thud!
Samuel Sterns' big head hit the floor heavily.
Poor Samuel Sterns had just woken up, only to fall unconscious again.
"Officer, what about this?" The team members understood their Captain's actions less and less.
Crossbones Rumlow explained, "This is a psychic superhuman. Tie him up. You watch him. As soon as he shows signs of waking up, knock him out again. Do not let him wake up. When we get to headquarters, hand him over to the researchers."
"Yes." The team member looked at his Captain with great admiration. To be able to find the serum's location and discover the psychic in advance, avoiding a mishap—no wonder his rank was higher than theirs.
Crossbones Rumlow and his team successfully returned to headquarters with Bruce Banner and Samuel Sterns.
