Aiden sat back from the terminal and looked at what he had assembled, the way he looked at things he had built from incomplete information and was now seeing in their complete form for the first time, with the particular quality of attention that came from knowing that what you were looking at was going to matter to someone and that the mattering was going to be large.
He read it once.
He read it again.
Then he called Kael's name, quietly, the way he called it when something required his presence rather than just his awareness.
Kael came to the terminal.
He read it standing, the way he read things that he needed to read quickly, and then he was still for a moment, the particular stillness he held when something had arrived that was larger than he had been prepared for even when he had been preparing for something large.
"All of it," he said.
"Yes," Aiden said.
Kael looked at the screen for another moment.
