The reception felt like something out of legend.
Tables woven from living wood stretched across the fairy terraces, overflowing with food that didn't belong in one place—roasted meats from Solmere, delicate pastries from elven kitchens, spiced dishes from distant trade routes.
And then—
Fairy delicacies.
Golden nectar.
Glowing fruits.
And two drinks that flowed endlessly through the celebration:
Pixie Mead.
And Fairy Cider.
Jax stood near the center of it all—
A drink in hand.
A crown he never asked for hanging around his neck on a chain until the village could make one to fit his human head.
Something Jax was extremely opposed to.
"More from the eastern ridge," one of the engineers said, unrolling a map across a floating table.
"The terrain supports expansion. If we reinforce the roots, we can build outward without damaging the tree."
Jax nodded, already focused.
"Do it."
He pointed.
"Here, here, and here—platform districts. Keep the core untouched."
Another engineer leaned in.
"What about defensive structures?"
Jax didn't hesitate.
"Hidden first. Visible second."
His voice lowered.
"No one touches this World Tree. And no one touches this Village."
Across the reception—
Pixelle watched him.
Arms crossed.
Foot tapping lightly.
"…Why is he working?"
Llandra didn't even look up from her drink.
"You made him King."
Pixelle blinked.
"…Yeah, so?"
"He's acting like one."
Pixelle's expression shifted.
She looked back at Jax—
Really looked this time.
At the way people gathered around him.
The way he listened.
Directed.
Built.
Protected.
"…He's doing this for us."
Zee smiled softly.
"He always does."
Pixelle's irritation melted.
Replaced with something warmer.
Deeper.
"…I chose well."
Nyxian smirked.
"They do not get any better than him."
The night carried on.
Laughter.
Music.
Magic drifting through the air like fireflies.
And eventually—
The dancing began.
Jax stood across from Pixelle first.
Now at full height—
Now eye to eye.
Almost.
Jax had moves she was not expecting. Sweeping her off her feet both figuratively and literally.
She glowed.
Confident.
Radiant.
He led her across the dance floor with dips and spins.
"…You are as graceful as our most professional dancers of the court," she muttered.
Jax chuckled.
"It was just something I've picked up," not admitting that They System had offered him a chance to learn a new Entertainment Skill - Dancing.
The music slowed.
Soft.
Intimate.
They moved together naturally.
Pixelle's hand in his.
Her other resting lightly against him.
Wings shimmering behind her like living light.
"…You took this seriously."
Jax met her eyes.
"I always do."
She studied him.
Then leaned slightly closer.
"…Good."
When the song ended—
Lexi stepped forward.
Her turn.
She was different.
Less commanding.
More curious.
But there was something underneath—
Confidence.
Growing.
"You're adjusting fast," Jax said.
Lexi smiled.
"I learn quickly."
They danced.
And unlike Pixelle—
Lexi didn't try to lead.
She matched him.
Followed.
Then occasionally…
Tested.
Nyxian watched from the side, grinning.
"…Oh she's going to be fun."
Bunny tilted her head.
"She already is."
And then—
Without planning it—
Pixelle stepped back in.
The three of them moved together.
Not perfectly.
Not traditionally.
But naturally.
And the crowd loved it.
Cheers rose.
Music swelled.
Magic pulsed with the rhythm of the night.
By the time the celebration began to wind down—
The stars had shifted.
The air had cooled.
And the energy…
Had changed.
Outside the village—
A carriage waited. Supplied by Barb.
Decorated.
Elegant.
With a simple message painted along the side:
Just Married
Bunny and Llandra pulled Pixelle and Lexi aside.
Nyxian conveniently joined them.
Bunny smiled brightly.
"Okay, quick advice."
Pixelle narrowed her eyes slightly.
"…I'm listening."
Nyxian smirked.
"Pace yourselves."
Lexi blinked.
"…That sounds ominous."
Llandra crossed her arms.
"You chose him."
Pixelle lifted her chin.
"I did."
"Then don't hold back," Llandra continued calmly. "No hesitation. No embarrassment."
Nyxian added with a grin,
"And don't try to compete."
Pixelle glanced sideways.
"…I'm not competing."
Lexi said nothing.
Which somehow made it worse.
Bunny leaned in, whispering,
"…Just enjoy it."
That landed.
The carriage ride was quiet.
Peaceful.
No crowds.
No expectations.
Just the soft rhythm of wheels and the distant sounds of night.
The cottage sat near the lake.
Warm light glowing from within.
Water reflecting the stars.
Still.
Private.
Pixelle stepped out first.
Then froze.
"…This is ours?"
Jax nodded.
"For a few days."
Lexi looked around, eyes wide.
"…It's beautiful."
Jax didn't respond.
Instead—
He stepped forward.
Lifted Pixelle with one arm.
Lexi with the other.
And carried them inside. Cradled in his two arms.
The door closed behind them.
Silence settled. Anticipation grew.
The three of them stood in the entrance of the cottage. None wanted to make the first move though, they all desired it.
Finally it was Pixelle who moved first. She kissed him, and almost attacked him with her legs wrapping around his waist.
Lexi was next to move.
She reached his side and once he came up for air with Pixelle, she immediately grabbed his head and started kissing him.
Jax knew in the past, there was an extended moment of delay while wedding dresses became undone. A task that required probably 30 minutes of time.
But these two did not seem to care about that at all.
There was no pause to get undressed from the girls. Instead it was about devouring Jax, and smothering him with their passion.
Jax reciprocated the kisses.
Pixelle wanted more. She began to undress Jax and pulling him to the closest seat possible, which was an appropriately named love seat.
For their first experience with Jax, it was to be the three of them on this couch, with him fully undressed and them still in their wedding attire.
Lexi was a bit cautious. She had joined in before, but in her fairy form, and had not experienced the actual act of sex with Jax. Just used by Nyxian to perform foreplay on Jax, much to her unexpected liking.
"Tonight, I experience everything," she whispered to herself.
Jax glanced at her. Grabbed her closer as Pixelle moved on top of the now stripped Jax.
"Yes you will."
"I am first. And require to always be first," Pixelle said as claimed her place without hesitation.
Time blurred into something unrecognizable - measured only in breath, heat and surrender.
For Pixelle it was bliss incarnate. For Lexi, it was a dream that she dared not wake from.
They explored the depths of their desires and failed miserably in trying to keep up with Jax.
"You cannot be a mere man," Lexi stated again and again as she lost herself completely.
Pixelle had secret desires. She knew it was long shot, but she thought, perhaps after experiencing this night with Jax, that she would conquer him with so much pleasure, that she would then be his favorite, perhaps only wanting to be with her.
But it was her who was conquered.
He put each of them into such a state of pleasure that within 1 hour, they were calling him "My King" during each moan. The words screamed from their lips like a battle cry.
Jax directed them toward each other at times.
They were best friends for years, but had never experienced this closeness before.
They were experiencing each other, unlike they had ever done so before.
For the night, they were not three individuals, but instead were one soul with three bodies.
They moved deliberately.
The Kitchen.
The Bathroom.
Each spare bedroom.
All were made theirs.
The world outside faded.
The lake remained still.
The stars drifted overhead.
And the cottage—
Became ground zero for the pleasure Apocalypse.
