Chapter 266: Hurry Up and Register
The live broadcast program wasn't long, lasting just under an hour.
After doing one last round of promotion for the anime and the light novel, the program finally concluded successfully.
Although about ten minutes were spent discussing relationship topics, thankfully, most of the time was dedicated to the actual program, so the main theme wasn't completely derailed.
Sitting in his seat, Kaede only breathed a sigh of relief when the director announced the official end. He took off the mask, stood up from the chair, told the two voice actors they had worked hard, and then went over to the staff to routinely thank everyone.
The director came over and shook hands with Kaede, smiling as he said, "Asakura-kun, today's broadcast was excellent. Would you be interested in coming again sometime?"
"Come again?" Kaede smiled and replied, "I probably won't have time this year. Besides the novel and the anime, I also plan to travel once. But if the anime gets a second season, I'd be quite happy to come back in the future. The show was very interesting."
At this moment, Eriri also walked over from the lounge, skipping happily to Kaede's side.
"Kaede-kun, great work!"
Patting Eriri's head, Kaede smiled and said, "It was fine. It was just sitting and chatting the whole time."
Today's work finished smoothly, but there's another radio program to record tomorrow. That's not a big problem though; it's much simpler than today's live broadcast.
After politely declining the director's dinner invitation, the four left the TV station.
"Phew, we're out!"
Looking at the darkening sky, Kaede checked the time on his phone and said, "It's getting late, shouldn't we head back? Mom, Sayuri-san, why don't we all have dinner together tonight? We can invite Mr. Spencer and Dad too."
Asakura Reiko nodded, "Sounds good, that's what we were planning. Kaede-kun, should we eat at home or go out?"
Kaede thought for a moment and suggested, "Eriri and I went to an Italian restaurant before, didn't we? I don't think you've been there yet. How about we book a table there tonight? I'll make the reservation now."
After confirming there were no issues, Kaede directly dialed Takanashi Toka's number and reserved a table for six.
Although the reservation was made, there was no need to go immediately. Both Mr. Spencer and Kaede's father, Asakura Kiichi, still had a while until their work ended, so they first went to Kaede and Eriri's apartment.
On the way back in the car, Kaede's phone rang. It was Takasu Ryuji.
"Hello, Takasu, what's up?"
"Asakura, your show finished, right? Are you on your way back? We're all gathered at Oosaka's apartment, want to have dinner together tonight?"
"Dinner?" Kaede was touched that Takasu and the others had gathered to watch the live broadcast of his show.
He shook his head with a smile, "Sorry, I don't have time today. I'm having dinner with Eriri's family later, but I'll still come back home first. I'll drop by your place once I get home. However, tomorrow, after I finish recording the show and come back, we can do it. How about inviting everyone to my place?"
Takasu Ryuji on the other end of the phone discussed it with everyone, and they settled on that plan.
After hanging up, Kaede said to Eriri beside him, "Tomorrow I still have to go out to record a show, so when everyone comes over, I'll trouble you to entertain them first!"
"No problem!"
Eriri smiled and agreed, "By the way, let's decide on the menu tonight too. Tomorrow, after you go to work, Kaede-kun, I'll buy all the ingredients for dinner."
Listening to the conversation between the two in the back, Asakura Reiko, who was in the passenger seat, turned around and said with satisfaction, "Seeing you two reminds me of when I first got married. Oh, before I knew it, Kaede-kun and Eriri's interactions are already like a married couple. When you graduate from high school, hurry up and register your marriage!"
"Reiko-san!"
Eriri's face instantly flushed with shyness, and she exclaimed loudly, "Why are you suddenly talking about this!!!"
"Isn't it because I see how you two are now?"
Sawamura Sayuri, who was driving, said, "You two are already living together. Anyway, unlike other parents who worry about their children's marriage, we have no worries at all. In fact, we're just thinking about when we can hold grandchildren in the future. Right, Reiko?"
"Exactly!"
Asakura Reiko clapped her hands and said expectantly, "Kaede-kun and Eriri both have great looks, so their future children, whether boy or girl, will definitely be very handsome. Oh, I'm so looking forward to it, but if you want children, maybe you'll have to wait until after university? That's still six years away!"
Sawamura Sayuri interrupted before her daughter could speak, "It's fine, anyway, it's not uncommon for people to have children during university these days. It just depends on whether Eriri is willing."
Seeing that not only Asakura Reiko but even her own mother had started to tease her, Eriri was completely unable to cope. Her face was steaming, and she glared angrily at Kaede beside her.
This kind of teasing Eriri usually happened once or twice whenever Asakura Reiko or Sawamura Sayuri visited, so Kaede was quite used to it.
Meeting Eriri's gaze, Kaede smiled and stroked her head, saying, "I think twins would be nice."

Eriri exploded instantly, her twin-tail attack, long absent, came out, continuously flicking Kaede, causing bursts of laughter to erupt in the car.
Upon arriving home, they asked the two elders to wait and relax with the cats, while Kaede and Eriri went downstairs to Aisaka Taiga's house.
After ringing the doorbell and the door opening, Kaede and Eriri saw everyone inside. Takasu Ryuji and Kitamura Yusaku were busy in the kitchen.
"You guys are really lively."
Putting on slippers and entering, Kaede said with a smile, "Come on, let me see what you're having for dinner tonight."
Aisaka Taiga stood with her hands on her hips, saying proudly, "Hmph, I bought a lot of high-quality ingredients. Are you really not going to join us?"
"No, no."
Kaede patted the little girl Aisaka Taiga on the head, which made her puff up angrily and swat at his hand. He said with a smile, "I've already booked a table at an Italian restaurant, so I'll have to miss out today."
"Tch, an Italian restaurant, you really know how to enjoy yourselves."
Hearing Kaede say that, Aisaka Taiga could only give up and quickly went to see how Takasu Ryuji's preparations were coming along.
