Chapter 267: The Two with Clear Division of Labor
Saturday, early morning.
Because he had to go record a show in the morning, Kaede didn't choose to sleep in. He still set an alarm and woke up on time.
Feeling movement in the bed, Eriri, who was still sound asleep, groggily opened her eyes.
"Ugh... Good morning, Kaede-kun..."
Watching Eriri rub her eyes, roll over, and close them again, Kaede smiled, leaned over, and kissed Eriri's forehead: "It's still early, only seven o'clock. Eriri, sleep a little longer."
"Mm... Then I'll sleep a little longer. Call me when you leave, and I'll get up then."
Everyone was scheduled to come over in the afternoon today, so there was no need to prepare lunch. Eriri smiled and went back to sleep.
Changing his clothes and leaving the room, Kaede went to the treadmill and started his morning run.
He was about to leave to record a show, so exercising to get his spirits up was very important.
After running, showering, and washing up, Kaede started to prepare breakfast.
Since Eriri also needed to eat breakfast, Kaede didn't make anything too elaborate. He fried some bacon and eggs, and with the lettuce they had at home, he made some sandwiches. He brewed some coffee and simply started eating.
Halfway through his meal, the bedroom door opened, and Eriri, wearing pajamas, swayed over. She came up behind Kaede and leaned directly against him.
"Hehehe~~ Kaede-kun~~~"
Letting Eriri hug him, Kaede turned his head and asked, "Why are you up? You must be hungry, right?"
Normally at this time, both of them would already be awake and eating breakfast. Today, Eriri slept a little longer, but her stomach still rumbled on time, so it would probably be difficult to keep lying in bed.
Eriri smiled and nodded, looking at the sandwich in Kaede's hand with a craving. She opened her mouth and said, "Ah~~~"
"Go brush your teeth first!"
"Aw~~~ Stingy."
After saying that to Kaede, Eriri slowly let go. Taking advantage of Kaede's inattention, she quickly lunged forward and took a bite out of Kaede's sandwich. Only then was she satisfied and ran off to wash up.
Looking at his sandwich, which was now a small piece smaller, Kaede smiled and shook his head: "If this were in a manga, I'd probably lose most of this sandwich."
Ten minutes later, Eriri, who had washed up and changed clothes, came out happily and sat down opposite Kaede, and they ate breakfast together.
Picking up her sandwich and taking a bite, Eriri asked, "Kaede-kun, are you heading straight out after you finish eating?"
Kaede, who was scrolling on his phone, nodded, "Yeah, the show starts recording at ten, so I need to be there an hour early. What about you, Eriri? When are you going to the supermarket to buy groceries?"
The menu for entertaining their friends had already been decided last night at home and was all saved on Eriri's phone.
Today, the two of them could be said to have a clear division of labor, striving to complete their respective tasks well.
Adding milk and sugar to her coffee, Eriri took a small sip and nodded, "Then I'll head out with you. Utaha and I agreed to do some shopping first, then buy groceries. She'll come over to accompany me at noon."
"Senior, huh."
Kaede felt relieved hearing that Utaha would come over to accompany Eriri first, and he nodded. He had originally been worried about Eriri going out alone and had thought about calling Usami to ask her to come over, but since Eriri had already arranged to meet Utaha, there was no need.
A few minutes later, Kaede finished breakfast and prepared to change clothes.
Seeing this, Eriri immediately put down her sandwich and followed Kaede into the room.
"Kaede-kun, Kaede-kun, I'll pick out your clothes!"
"Uh... it's not that serious, I'm just going to record a radio show, I won't be on camera."
"That's still not allowed! You're going out for work, so of course you have to dress nicely!" Eriri said with a serious expression as she opened the wardrobe. "Besides, didn't we buy a lot of clothes before? They were for you to wear on these kinds of occasions!"
Then she took out all the clothes and started to pick out an outfit for Kaede.
Seeing Eriri's actions, Kaede smiled, took the clothes from Eriri's hands and put them down, then hugged the girl and kissed her.
"Ugh!!!"
After a long moment of intimacy, they separated, and Eriri said with a slightly flushed face, "What was that for? Don't you know your mouth tastes all of coffee?"
Pinching Eriri's cheek, Kaede said, "I just felt like doing it."
"Hehehe~~~"
Bumping her small head against Kaede's chest, Eriri gave him a bright smile, then continued to busy herself.
After selecting a full outfit—outerwear, inner layer, and pants—and watching Kaede change into it, Eriri nodded in satisfaction, "Good, good, wear this! Kaede-kun, wait for me, I'll be done eating soon, then we can go out together!"
"No need to rush, there's still plenty of time."
Although he said that, Eriri still sped up her sandwich-eating pace.
"Awoo! Wuwu... Although there's enough time, I still want to do some shopping, and there's not much left anyway."
Shaking his head with a wry smile, Kaede sat opposite Eriri, scrolling on his phone, waiting for her.
After finishing, Eriri ran off to change and do her makeup, leaving the dishes directly to the dishwasher at home.
Although girls usually take a long time to get ready, naturally beautiful girls don't need to spend too much time unless it's for a major event.
Soon, Eriri, dressed in a long dress, emerged, with only light, barely noticeable makeup on her face.
"Alright, let's go!"
The places Kaede and Eriri were going today were two different locations, but both required taking the train, so they could walk the first part of the journey together.
Holding Kaede's hand, Eriri reminded him, "Kaede-kun, don't forget to get autographs for me when you arrive! And a group photo!"
"I know, you started talking about it yesterday, there's no way I'd forget."
Kaede had a helpless smile. This girl was half a "seiyuu otaku"; she would never miss an opportunity to get autographs from famous voice actors, let alone ones like Jun Fukushima and Sora Amamiya.
Upon arriving at the station, the two saw Utaha waiting there.
It had to be said that she was indeed the top beauty at Toyosaki; just standing there, she would attract the gaze of surrounding men.
If it weren't for Utaha's even taller height when wearing heels, which intimidated most men, someone would probably have approached her by now.
Utaha, carrying a small bag, also smiled when she saw the two arrive.
"Good morning, you two conjoined twins."
... x2
To add, the previous compliments only applied when she didn't speak.
