Elise pulled out a simple sundress, fingers shaking as she slipped it over her head. No bra. No panties. She didn't trust herself to wear it. The last thing she wanted was the fabric of her lace pant dragging her swollen spot.
Dejected didn't even cover how she felt. She felt wild, frayed at the edges, like one wrong move and she'd shatter.
The ache pulsed low in her belly, relentless. A deep, empty throb that made her want to scream, or cry, or drop to her knees and beg him to finish what he started.
Lucien watched her from across the chair, arms crossed, expression unreadable.
"Are you ready?" He asked when he saw her just standing and she nodded.
