Elise sat through dinner feeling sick and left out. Luciens words kept playing in her mind over and over again. She couldn't believe he would agree to meet someone else, was she that boring?
Elise placed the toasted bread in her mouth to cover up the pain she felt. She sniffled gently, her eyes turning blurry but she blinked it back to normal again.
"This is the best decision you've made brother. I know you'll find the one." Kaila said excitedly. She dabbed her lips with her napkin her eyes on Elise who was seated next to Lucien.
"Let maids be maids and royalty be royalty. I'm very sure, sister in law will be more than pleased to see you move on too and break free." Kaila rose from where she sat.
"Thank you brother Lucien. I'll go invite all of my friends to the party. I hope it'll be one of them." Kaila smiled sweetly lacing the napkin back on the table.
