Kaila took Willow up the stairs to her father's bedroom. When they got in, she could see how thin Warrick was. The cut was already rotting, and his lips were blue and dry. Eyes wide open like he had seen a ghost and Willow understood what he was going through.
He was in the moment of ascension but his was slow and painful because he was being held down by dark magic that was feasting on his soul even more. Willow wondered who was doing this to her wolves. Who was killing her people?
"He'll be fine." She said and Kaila frowned. She knew Willow wanted to give her hope, but that hope is better buried than alive again. It really did take a toll on them and they have all learned to accept that Warrick will not make it.
