Chapter 13
Once it seemed their conversation had wrapped up, Yeonho stopped the recording for the time being.
And what perfect timing it was that night.
The angry woman who was supposed to attack her was meant to show up later…
But right as Hana lifted her chopsticks, loaded with food, moving to take a bite. The sliding door to her room flew open with a loud bang.
'What the hell? Wait… Is this it? Already?'
He froze for half a second, almost rising from his spot, but quickly forced himself still. His eyes snapped straight toward the noise, fixed on the commotion spilling out from the next room.
Standing in the doorway was another woman, face twisted with pure rage, eyes burning bright with fury.
Yeonho didn't waste a second.
He pressed record again.
"You fucking bitch! My boyfriend broke up with me because of you!"
The woman stormed straight for Hana, screaming at the top of her lungs.
She lunged forward, hands clawing toward Hana's face, but Sungho reacted fast, stepping between them and shoving her back hard.
"Who is this? Why is she even allowed in here? Do something, Sungho!"
Hana's voice rang out, arrogant and cold, completely unbothered. She didn't even spare the woman a glance, turning like she planned to just walk past her and leave.
'Wow. The nerve.' Yeonho thought.
"Where do you think you're going, you sneaky little whore!"
The woman didn't even stumble. She shoved Sungho aside with surprising strength.
And before Hana could take two steps, her hand shot out, fingers tangling tight in Hana's hair, yanking her hard backwards.
"Ouch! Let go of me!" Hana's hands flew up, clawing uselessly at the woman's grip. Face scrunched up in genuine pain.
"It's all your fault! He left me! All because of you, you bitch!"
"Sungho! Help me! Ahh! She's hurting me! Let go! Let go of my hair, you crazy woman! Ouch!"
"Shut the hell up, you two-faced snake!"
The woman tugged harder, making Hana cry out even louder.
Screams and shouts filled the whole space. Hana was clearly in agony, eyes glistening like she was about to burst into tears any second.
Sungho moved fast again, grabbing the woman by the shoulders and pulling her away with all his strength.
But she was relentless. As soon as she was free, she launched herself right back at Hana like a wrestler, knocking her right back down.
It was total chaos.
It felt like watching a scene straight out of a messy drama, and Yeonho had to bite his lip to stop from laughing out loud.
He kept his camera steady, capturing every second of the fight. This was pure gold. Seeing Hana getting torn apart by someone else?Absolutely hilarious.
'Geez, look at them go. There goes the perfect heroine, getting completely wrecked. Gotta give this woman credit though . She's doing a great job tearing her down. Hahaha.'
The woman wouldn't let up, determined to ruin Hana completely. And Sungho was clearly struggling to hold her back.
Every time he pulled her off, she'd break free and go right back for Hana again, fueled by pure rage.
Next thing Yeonho saw, she grabbed Hana hard by the collar of her dress, and shoved her backward so hard she crashed straight into the dining table.
Plates, bowls, food, and cutlery went flying everywhere, clattering and shattering across the floor. Food splattered all over the table, the walls, and all over Hana herself — her face, her hair, her clothes completely covered in sauce and rice.
"You pathetic bitch! You ruined everything!"
Hana snapped. All that gentle, soft act vanished completely. She lunged right back, screaming and clawing, fighting back just as hard as the woman attacking her.
The woman shoved her away again, shouting right in her face, eager to say every ugly thing she could.
"You stole him from me! You think you can just take whatever you want and get away with it? You have to pay for this!"
"Who are you even talking about? I don't remember stealing anyone's boyfriend!"
"Don't play dumb with me! Baek Seungjo told me to forget we ever even dated — all because of you, Choi Hana!"
'Oh? Baek Seungjo?'
Yeonho's eyes lit up. He'd been curious which male lead had been dragged into this mess, since the novel never mentioned it.
This whole thing was just a tiny side event, barely worth a mention… and they never said exactly who the ex-boyfriend was.
'Well, well. Look what we have here.'
He shook his head, grinning, focusing back on the fight.
"Seungjo?"
Hana scoffed, wiping sauce off her cheek with one hand, a mocking, arrogant smirk curling her lips.
"Of course he left you. I look way prettier than you ever could. He doesn't waste his time on women like you. He wants someone like me."
She sounded so confident, so sure of herself… but Yeonho saw it. The way her hands were shaking, the way her eyes darted around. She was terrified.
'Oh please. Acting all high and mighty, like you're untouchable… but you're shaking in your boots. Aren't you ?Pathetic'
It was funny. Hana truly believed she had every male lead wrapped around her little finger.
She had no idea he was right next door, watching everything, recording everything. Already planning exactly how he'd steal every single one of them right under her nose.
The woman's eyes twitched. Hana's words made her snap completely. Rage boiled over, even worse than before.
"You slut! I'll kill you!" She screamed, charging at Hana again.
"—Ah! Sungho! Save me!"
Hana scrambled backward clumsily, rushing to hide behind Sungho's back, clinging to his arm like a terrified little child.
Just then, a group of security guards came rushing in. They grabbed the woman by both arms, holding her back tight before she could lunge again.
Yeonho watched closely, and in a split second, Hana changed completely. The fear, the anger, the arrogance, all gone.
Her eyes filled with tears instantly, her lip trembling, her face soft and hurt, looking like the most innocent, wronged victim in the whole world.
"So fake… " Yeonho mumbled. He rolled his eyes, completely unimpressed. Sure, she got attacked. But that performance? She's worse than an actress. Only fools would believe her.
"Let go of me! Let go! I'm gonna kill that wretched bitch!" The woman was still screaming, thrashing around, completely out of her mind.
"Ma'am, calm down. We strongly advise you to stop, or we will have to drag you out of the restaurant immediately." The manager stepped in, voice firm but polite.
But she didn't listen. She didn't care. She kept shouting, cursing, struggling against the guards, and the manager sighed, shaking his head.
"Take her out. We can't let this disturb our other guests."
As they dragged the screaming, cursing woman away, Sungho quickly guided Hana out of the messy room to calm her down, the manager following close behind to check on her.
As soon as they were all gone, Yeonho stopped the recording.
He packed his phone away carefully, made sure everything was tucked safe in his bag, then pulled a face mask and sunglasses over his face, covering every feature completely.
Once he was sure the whole area was empty and quiet, he peeked out through the crack in the door, then slid it open slowly and silently.
He stepped into the room that was now completely wrecked, and didn't waste a second. He walked straight over to the messy table, eyes scanning every detail, already thinking of what to do next.
